M 66
M66 in Leo graces the early spring sky. The galaxy is
about 30 MLy distant and is part of a small cluster which includes M65 and NGC
3628. The disk of M66 appears to be distorted, likely through gravitational
interaction with another cluster member. Sum of four 120 s exposures on January
29, 2000 using the 0.31 m F/4.8 and CB245 detector.
