Midterm II Blueprint

The exam will consist of 3, multi-part questions from the following sections of your text:

• Chp7: 7.7, 7.8
• Chp 8: 8.1, 8.2, 8.4, 8.5
• Chp 9: 9.1 - 9.5 (no predator-prey)

Major Emphases:

1. Populations (be prepared for either simple or logistic growth).
2. Slope fields and what they mean
3. Methods of solving first order linear differential equations.
4. Arc lengths and surface areas

Exam Format:

There will be three questions -each of which will have a conceptual ("explain-it") part as well as a numerical part. Each question will be worth 10 marks.
