The exam will consist of 5 multi-part problems similar to ones done during the term and in many cases illustrated in the text. You will need a calculator (no smart phones). A formula sheet will be provided.

There will be 5 topic areas:

• Sound Intensity, Decibels and applications
• Waves Speed, frequency and wavelength
• Vibrating Bars, Strings and Columns
• Musical Scales and associated relations
• Architectural Acoustics

Consult your text and course notes to review each of the above areas
